Shelly Gage is an alternative singer, songwriter, pianist, and astrologer based in Tallahassee, Florida. Her work blends modern alternative music with classical influence, shaped by a lifelong relationship with performance and a search for deeper meaning.

Originally from a small town outside of Lansing, Michigan, Gage moved to Jacksonville, Florida as a child. Before music became central to her life, she was a dedicated figure skater with aspirations of one day becoming a professional. After experiencing significant loss of her eyesight as a teenager, she left the sport behind and redirected her focus toward music.

After only a few months of piano study, Gage successfully auditioned for Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, a nationally recognized arts magnet school in Jacksonville, Florida, whose music programs have received Grammy Signature School honors. There she received extensive training and built the classical foundation that continues to inform her work today.

Following graduation, she earned a full scholarship to the choral music program at Florida State College at Jacksonville. When health challenges eventually interrupted her studies, Gage continued to do music independently — singing, arranging, and improving upon the craft of songwriting. What began as a difficult chapter ultimately became a period of tremendous artistic growth, helping her develop the voice and style that define her work today.

After relocating to Tallahassee, Florida, Gage began performing as a solo artist and building a repertoire of original music, piano arrangements, and cover songs. Her music blends modern alternative influences with classical undertones, using piano and voice to create emotionally rich soundscapes that explore themes of healing, self-awareness, and hope. Inspired by honest storytelling and emotional authenticity, her work seeks to shine light on difficult experiences and the growth that can come from them.

Alongside Gage's work in music, her interest in astrology emerged from her own search for healing. Over the years, astrology became an important tool for understanding life’s major turning points, helping her contextualize experiences that might otherwise have felt random or disconnected. Its symbolic language offered a framework through which she could better understand both personal challenges and broader collective events.

When the COVID-19 pandemic brought all live performances to a halt, Gage found herself increasingly immersed in the online astrology community. What began as a personal practice soon expanded as she started offering readings and sharing insights with others. To her surprise, she discovered she had a natural aptitude for astrological interpretation, and she quickly became known for her honesty, accuracy, and depth.
